It is important to us to "give back." When I found out that Disneyland was offering a free day from volunteering I knew we had to be on board! A great teaching moment for my girls.

Check out my busy bees! They are so proud of the baby baskets they put together to benefits families of the Orange County Rescue Mission in Tustin!

We were definitely inspired to be one out of a million to volunteer! It is so easy to register and choose from many local agencies. You can volunteer your time and skills or like us, assemble kits for gifting.

It took me nearly a full hour to find the Orange County Rescue Mission! For some odd reason my Navi took me into a gated community in Irvine. The girls were so happy as I was I to find this place. The people were so nice and it feels great to know we are helping and supporting our local families!

These are the two baby baskets that we put together. Over the course of a week we were able to purchase items needed for the bag such as diapers in various sizes, wipes, cloth, bibs, baby rice, baby food, baby toiletry items, onesies, sleepers, pacifiers, diaper bag, swaddling blanket, toy and many more goodies!

Here are the girls delivering their items at the Donation Center! It was nice to explain to them what the great people do there! Emi was thrilled to take part in this and Chloe will she didn't want a picture she wanted to do lunch! Thank you Disney for giving us this opportunity!

This is my sweet mommy and me! I still call her "mommy" sometimes! I miss her like crazy and I hate so much that she is far away. Well, not like a "country" far away but it might as well be. Having her and my dad live in Salt Lake City is just too far! Here is one of my favorite photos taken this last Christmas. It was us at SeaLife Aquarium in Carlsbad. My mother is my best friend. A best friend I really did not understand I had until I became a "mommy." I love you MOM!

What a privilege to featured in the amazing Hudson's Childrenwear Fashion Magazine. I had the sweetest opportunity to meet Tom Hudson, Founder and Ron Yales, Advertising in person when I visited the California Market Center the first time to meet my first and official sales rep Elisa Lysiak at the Treehouse Showroom. It was a great experience and I had Emi and Chloe with me.

It must of been divine because I was there at the right place at the right time. Elisa introduced me to Tom and I knew immediately who he was and did not hesitate at all to tell him I drool over his magazine each time I get it and pray that one day that Baby Emi Jewelry will be featured! And do you believe what he said to me? "Today is your lucky day!"

His awesome photographer was there and they took pictures of us and told me to contact him....the rest is history! The reason why this is such a big deal to me is because that moment was magical. It felt amazingly good to know I was where I needed to be and that I followed my instincts to move forward and sign on with my first showroom. Had I not, I wouldn't of meet these great people and made the connection.

This feature is a great blessing because I desire so much for this business to grow. I want so much to have our Jingle Bells Jewelry available in all of the great boutiques and stores across the nation. I do everything by myself and I tell you it gets very overwhelming at times. But, having this sweet moment happen and to be featured in HUDSON is a dream come true.

Last Wednesday I had the sweet opportunity to share my story of how I started Baby Emi Jewelry to a class of bright college students at College of the Canyons in Valencia, CA.

My long time family friend who is a professor at College of the Canyons invited me to be a guest speaker for his business class. The course was on how to start an online business and he felt that BEJ would be perfect!

So, off I went to Valencia with my little sidekick Chloe. We had such a fun time. I was so impressed by his students. I seemed to capture their attention. Their questions were thoughtful and pensive. It was so incredible to watch them take notes while I spoke! Happy Birthday Chloe!!!

May 26th was my little Chloe's third birthday! I can't believe my baby is now three!?! She is such an angel to me. You can find her right by my side no matter what I am doing and I love it! This morning she crawled into bed with me and snuggled. It was so nice. She told her sister that she was with mommy and I just melted. Normally, when my girls wake up the first thing they do is run down stairs to play. So, to have her decide to lay in bed with me was sweet! We had a great day celebrating her birthday! But, before I dish out what we did to spoil her today lets go back to yesterday when we went to Legoland -- one of her favorite places. It was so fun to have Albert join us and it was so cute to watch them together enjoy a ride or two. Afterwards, we and the Forest and Fischers had a fam BBQ and then Jessica made the cutest clown cupcakes for Boston and Chloe (they share the same birthday!). They were all in heaven chowing down on the yumminess.

Today, Emi and I took Chloe to Fashion Island in Newport Beach to have lunch! Afterwards, I each gave them a penny to throw into the fountain in the food court. I overheard Chloe's wish and she wished that I would stay "beautiful!" Isn't that cute!?! I love that little girl! Fashion Island Mall is a beautiful outdoor mall and they have the coolest koi pond. Emi was so sweet and would hold her little sister hands around the rocks in the pond to find the biggest fish! Then we hit the fun carousel at and Chloe was so excited to ride her pony! The smile on her face was just adorable and when she said "Hee-haw!" it was a riot.

We finally made it home for a simple delicious dinner of Costco rotisserie chicken, rice, and salad (we were all famished) and then sang Happy Birthday to her with the most yummy choco cake! She had tons of presents to open - which she loved!!! And it was so sweet for Boston to drop by and give her a present and for Kalli to leave her a present at the door! Her Auntie Rebecca and Uncle Aric had a birthday package waiting and she was so thrilled to find all of the presents inside! Wow, talk about being spoiled!!! Thank you friends and family for her many gifts! Happy Birthday my little angel! You have brought so much joy into my life! You are truly an angel on earth and I love you! Pics to follow!!!

Baby Emi's Crystal Glam Collection and the CPSIA

We wanted to let you know that the final day to place orders from our Crystal Glam Collection will be on February 5th just five days before February 10th, a.k.a. "National Bankruptcy Day" due to the mandatory lead testing for the CPSIA. We informed our wonderful wholesale and drop ship partners last week and they have been so supportive and we are truly grateful for that.

Because it is important for Baby Emi to be compliant we have to temporarily pull the line and not sure how things will pan out for the year. We hope to bring the line back but realize the reality may be difficult because each and every piece would have to be tested. And as you know it can get extremely costly for us---for me. I am a stay at home mommy of two beautiful girls and do everything myself! I craft each bracelet myself, package and ship the orders and emails and phone calls and spend a lot of time promoting and marketing our beautiful jewelry! Not to mention taking care of the girls, the household, my hubby and hopefully get in a workout or two during the week at the gym.

So, it is my prayer and hope that Baby Emi Jewelry will still thrive during this time as my sales will be nearly cut in half due to abrupt halt our our beaded line. My spirits are still high and remaining diligent and patience that we will ride out this storm. The good thing is that I will have more time to devote to my little ones who I adore so much and who need their mommy and I need them. Vote TODAY to Save Small Businesses from the CPSIA

I have not been able to "function" as I have the CPSIA issue wrapped around my head! I can't even begin to tell you how much time, effort, and prayer have been exerted to figure this situation out. I can go on and on about it and how it affects Baby Emi Jewelry but honestly I am too exhausted to do so (you can link on the graphics to read about it).

All I ask is if you can take the time to VOTE today to save small business by allowing exemptions for companies that use natural fiber content materials and precious metals, (sterling silver, gold, etc) and precious stones (specifically cultured pearls). Since, my beaded collection for children contain Swarovski crystal we are going to switch out those components for fire polished or pressed glass and we have even found a supplier whose components do not contain any lead in the makeup of the crystal. We are thrilled at this solution!

We fully support measures to improve children safety and will make the changes necessary to comply. Children safety has always been fundamental to us. However, as a small business owner, a mother who stays at home with her two children and operates this business entirely on her own (I do have my sweet hubby who helps tremendously and I am so grateful for that) I do not have the means like big corporations to have all my pieces tested. It would literally put us out of business. We are doing all in our power to make those necessary changes and hope that the CPSIA makes concessions for companies whose products do not contain any hazardous materials.

Thankfully, our Jingle Bells Collection is made from .925 sterling silver and our gold plated jewelry (18 k gold plated) is plated over. 925 sterling silver. We hope and pray these amendments are made and excited to launch a new line of gorgeous beaded jewelry featuring natural cultured pearls and fire polished/glass pressed glass beads. Our customers love our Bella Bella, Pink Whimsy and Crystal Luxury Bracelets and their matching sets so it is our hope to keep these styles available.

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice!

The girls made their very first Gingerbread House this week for Family Home Evening! I can't believe we actually had some candy left to decorate the house. Little Chloe is a sucker for anything sweet just like her mommy. I was amazed how detailed orientated they were with adorning the house and I was so thrilled and uber impressed they did not fight.

See, her little gingerbread man she made! Love all the candy balls she used to decorate it with. Her smile is a bit "sugar-coma-tosed!"

Isn't it great that I could use this gingerbread kit that I bought nearly a year ago from Costco? I bet this kit could last into the millennium! It had all sorts of bright colored candy that make little girls like mine very happy!

Chloe did the cutest thing today that I have to tell you about. During our bedtime routine she decided to plop down on the floor and grab her "There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed the Fly" book. She opened to the first page and said "Jesus loves me." Then she turned the second page and said "Santa loves me." Then she turned the last page and said "And I am not in time out!" I was laughing so hard and thought is was the most adorable thing I have heard and seen! I love that babe of mine!

The other day, I had to ship a boatload of orders! I mean a ton. Did you know that the post office has a shopping cart to put your packages in when there are too many to hold. Well, I had to use that baby to house all of my outgoing orders. Luckily two sweet ladies helped Emi push it into the post office while I was holding Chloe who fell asleep in the van. I was in a dilemma and needed my hands free to get my orders shipped out so I gently placed Chloe on those hard benches and covered her with my sweater and she did not stir! She took a nap forever there because I was at the post office FOREVER! It was the longest time I have ever been there for. Oh, it was so painful! The people at the post office were so sweet and would try to whisper as to not wake up Chloe.

The other day, Emi received a letter from the OC Gazette. She entered November's coloring contest and was excited to be selected as the winner because she would then have her piece displayed online and received a 25.00 gift certificate to Borders. She managed to stand still for pictures and we let her go at it and open the card. And guess what, she won FIRST PLACE! It was the cutest thing when she exclaimed "I have never won anything before!" We are proud of our little artiste! You can find her artwork next month at OC Gazette. Can't wait to check it out!

This weekend my sister in law and her family came over to visit and stay for the weekend. We had so much fun visiting, eating and sightseeing. The highlight of the weekend was visiting the San Clemente Pier. The kids absolutely loved it! The weather was amazing we started peeling off our layers of clothing because I thought it was going to be sooo COLD! The group picture is absolutely adorable and they are all smiling! Getting ready for Halloween this year was a blast! The girls looked so adorable as always! They are so girly and wanted everything to be "princess!" And their wish was granted! Emi and Chloe felt so gorgeous and loved showing off their costumes. This year was awesome because throughout the month they could wear recycled costumes from years past to different events and they loved the variety! Our Renaissance Club Sport was hosting a fun Halloween party for the girls that was unbelievable! They had goodies galorie, fun crafting projects, a dance a thon, and a Halloween race all in one afternoon! Emi and Chloe were so excited to get dressed that day. You should of seen how cute they were while I was putting on their face paint. They were so still and serious. I wanted everything to be perfect for their special day! We all had fun a fun time and I loved watching the girls enjoy themselves and do what they do best "being kids!" I wish I could freeze them at this age right now. They are so much fun! I love you girls!

Emi and Chloe {heart} Disneyland!

Albert's older sister Alysia and her fam for Christmas last year got us gift certificates for Disneyland. Isn't she awesome! I finally got the courage to redeem them for annual passes and took them to Disneyland ALL BY MYSELF! I was very proud of myself. Despite the fact I got lost on my way trying to find the parking structure which is huge by the way we had the times of our lives! Did, I tell you how GRANDE this place is? It is amazing! I love living in Southern California, right smack between Disneyland and Legoland!

I was worried there would be rides we couldn't ride together but all the rides we selected allowed us to sit together and I was relieved. Emi and Chloe had so much fun! We got in to Anaheim around 10 am and didn't leave till 4pm. We were so exhausted from the fun. Lunch was yummy there and there are so many delicious things to eat! I was on a diet there for the RIPPED Challenge and it was absolute misery! Nonetheless, I loved being with my girls and watching them enjoy and absorb the magic of Disneyland! I can't wait to take them again!

Our Anniversary Vacation to Cancun!

On our way to Cancun and we are excited!

Our trip to Cancun in October for our sixth year anniversary was the best! Words can not describe how much fun we had. I just need to take you there and you would understand. It was our first trip without the girls and I was so anxious about that but excited to take our first alone trip together!

The Hyatt Cancun Caribe was breathtaking!

Our fav place to dine was at Mr. Papas at the La Isla Shopping Mall in Cancun! The fountain behind us was gorgeous. The fountain would reach heights as tall as a geyser! Left of Albert was the pier next to the amazing ocean, where supposedly there was a croc watching us. I think some people had a little bit too much drink and were imagining things!

My sweet sister in law and husband watched our girls while we were away for a week. The first few days I was weepy and ready to just tear up at anything that reminded me of the girls. On about the third of fourth day I realized how fun it was to sleep in, order what I wanted to order and eat it all by myself, and not worry about whether or not I had enough diapers in my bag for an outing.

The pools at the hotel were gorgeous and the beach was just steps away!

Albert and I had such a fun time! It honestly was like our second honeymoon! It was absolutely romantic and our room was gorgeous and had full ocean view! Spending that alone time with him was much needed and it did not take too long to get us back to being newlyweds again.

Baby Emi + Mammalicious = FUN! Okay, the event happened soo long ago but it was definitely memorable and I have to tell you about it. The "Mammalicious" shopping event was FABuLOUS! I loved it and had such a fun time. It was my first time exhibiting at a show and it rocked! Arianne McHugh founder of OCMAMMA knows how to throw a party! The vibe was awesome with Top 40 music pumping and everyone was getting their groove on. Everyone was nibbling on delicious goodies and taking in the chic scene and gearing up to do what we women do best "shopping!"

My sweet hubby arrived early to help me set up. I love that he is so helpful! He is so wonderful and supportive. He is my security blanket! And our good friend and photographer Ben Sookying was there to take photos of the event.

The events was 3 hours long and it went fast. After sipping on some bubbly the haute mommies of OC were ready to shop and I was getting orders left and right. LOVED IT!!!! Baby Emi Jewelry did fantastic and it was so fun to network and meet other fabulous mommies. Our best sellers that night were our custom hand stamped mommy necklaces and Jingle Bells Anklets!

This is a picture of my office if you couldn't tell. It makes me so sad to see it in this state! But, in spite of the apparent un-Feng Shui-ness I must carry on. I am still cranking out those orders, feeding my children, and packing here and there! Why does packing have to be so painful! I can't believe we are moving on Saturday and we have not made a dent in our packing do to list! Yes, I am freaking out and almost feel paralyzed. Oh, well. I just need to hang tough and before we know it we will be into our new place. There is light at the end of the tunnel! I will keep thinking that while I happily pack away and tripping over tape, clothes, kids toys, and shoes.

This is a picture and her new swimming towel. It is so cute! I got it from Lillian Vernon for 20.00 and it is personalized. Both Emi and Chloe got a matching set. There are so many cute things about. The obvious the darling girly color, it has fabric wings in the back, a hood to keep her warm and soak up the water from a swim, and cute little antennae on top that you can't see. It is a butterfly hooded towel! is a pic of Emi at her swim class. She is taking Swim Venture and it is held at Laguna Hills High School. She is doing a lot better but won't jump into the pool yet! Bribing hasn't worked any too! I can't wait till she is over that fear.

My brother suggested that we send in Emi's pic for BabyGap's Model Search, so we decided to do it! It is really funny because when have met people from LA with kids and they see Emi they all say she should go into modeling and acting. So, here it goes! I think Emi is just beautiful! I am so happy she is my little girl and to me she will always be beautiful!

Doesn't my hubby look amazing!?! This is a pic of us on our way to the Jordan River Temple. Thank goodness for families. My mom was happy to watch the girls so we could attend. It is our first time and in very long time and we loved it!

Okay, I felt so silly being in this picture alone outside of the Jordan River Temple but there was no one in site to take a pic of us together. The grounds are beautiful there! I love this temple because I spent time a lot of time here as a youth with all of my friends from Alta High! I know I look preggers in this picture but to confirm I am NOT!

My sweet grandparents that I love so much! Emi and Chloe are so fortunate to have great-grandparents who love and cherish them so much. It is because of their faith and courage that the lives of their grandchildren and great children are blessed for making their way to America. The Cliffs at Peace Canyon had a beautiful swimming pool that we all enjoyed! The girls learned how to "swim" here!

The second hotel we stayed at was the Tuscany Suites and Casino in Vegas. It was nice. The pool was great and they even had a live band play pool side. It was fun dancing in the water!

We decided to get ice cream after a good swim and had to drive at least 8 miles or so to find an ice cream joint outside of the strip! There was this nasty ride on toy at the ice cream parlor and the kids had to sit on it of course!

Our first stay in Vegas was at The Cliffs at Peace Canyon Resort Townhomes in Summerlin --- loved it!

We had a local babysitter from Kidz, Kidz, Kidz named Jen watched the girls while we attended a business meeting at the Las Vegas Convention Center. She brought her adorable son along and we felt at ease knowing the girls were in good hands!

Las Vegas ABC Expo

I am creating this post in our family van in the middle of nowhere in Nevada which is about 12 miles from Vegas with my Blackberry. This is pretty cool and I hope this works. The kids are sound asleep while Albert is humming to the sounds of Flocks of Seagulls, I am so not in the 80s!

Well, the Savages decided to be different and take a vacay now rather than earlier. Why, well it just told out that why. We are quite spontateous and a non-commital bred.

And since I have always wanted to attended the ABC Expo I thought why now go and make it a fun little getaway!

So later today we will be attending a meeting at the convention center by the JPMA on new regulations passed for child product safety. I am excited to learn how I can continue to make our products safer for kids. And then the famous expo is on Tues.

We are staying at three different hotels that have a kitchenette and a separate master bedroom. So the girls can enjoy being crazy while we attempt to get some R&R.

This is going to be soo fun and we will hit the pools everyday!

I am also excited to see my family who lives in Utah later in the week.The girls miss their great grandparents, grandparents,uncles and aunties.

And I would like to publically thank Jen at Kidz Kidz Kidz who will babysit our gorgeous girls tomight so Albert and I can attend the meeting.

Emi and Chloe loves Curious George! And you know what I do too! Curious George reminds me of my Emi who is "curious", gets in trouble often but just has a heart that melts you! I saw this bouncy ball toy at TJ Maxx and had to get it! I toy that increases physical activity with kids is something I value.

So, you'all know I am still playing catch up with blogging! This is the girls on the 4th of July. We went to the Aliso Town Center for food, music, and games. Then we watched a great fireworks show at the end. So, fun and we have decided to make this a family tradition every 4th to be there.
The girls love their wagon that Kim and Steve Shreeve generously gave us (among other awesome things) in preparation for their move to Kentucky. The girls love sitting in it. And they were excited to join the festivities at our ward Clambake beach party in Laguna Beach.

I bought Emi and Chloe some harmonicas recently and it is hilarious to hear them play it.

Our anniversary was on June 22nd! Yes, I am still playing catch up. Albert and I have been married for 6 awesome years! I love this man with all of my heart and I am crazy about him still! The Lord is so good to me for bringing him into my life. For anniversary, we went to the beach near Montage Resort in Laguna Beach. It was so BEAUTIFUL! The girls loved it too.

The girls joined us in celebrating our wedding anniversary! Aren't they so cute! Can you just laugh at our crazy hair! The humidity does something fierce to my hair! Yikes!?! It is like a flashback to the 80s...big hair & big curls!

The beautiful woman next to me is my sweet friend Irina. I love her so much! Emi and her are so close to each other. Emi must remember her from when she was a baby and Irina and I used to be in the same ward in Santa Clarita Valley. Irina has a heart of gold and she is beautiful inside and out!

This is a picture of Emi's last day of school at South Shores Christian Preschool in Dana Point, CA. Isn't her craft project amazing!?! She did such a good job. Emi was so excited to hang birdhouse outside and unfortunately the rain ruined her prized project! Nonetheless, we have a great picture to show for it! Emi will be attending South Shores again in the fall and she can't wait!

Addicted to Coloring Books!

Emi loves to color and she is very good at it! She will trace the border of the picture with her color of choice and then carefully color inside of it. She will also color the background of the pictures too, to add some dimension to the picture. I know this sounds simplistic but you will have to come by and check it our yourself! She is a professional!

Her favorite coloring book is one given by my dear friend Irina who stayed with us for a few days. Emi and Irina would spend time coloring together in her new My Little Pony book and each page is a work of art! And guess who likes to color too? Well, of course, Chloe! She can do a pretty good job at scribbling with color!

I am so glad I enrolled the girls in swim lessons. Well, it isn't actually "swim lessons" but a class designed for the girls to get comfortable in the water. And it was just what the doctor ordered.
Emi needed something like that because she was so scarred from a past incident at Salt Creek Beach when a huge wave came crashing in on top of her and she lost her balance.
I honestly, thought that Chloe wouldn't have any problems but the first few times she was whining, screaming and crying her eyes out. The poor thing! Emi was in the Tiny Tots class and her teacher was great with her. Chloe was in a Parent and Me class and I enlisted Albert to get into his swimsuit and be her water buddy!
It was fun to stand on deck and cheer my two girls on. After the five weeks of classes the tears disappeared and the smiles started coming out and they were excited for Saturday to come around! At the end of each session, they worked up an appetite so I had a handful of healthy snacks to hand out. By the way, tip for new parents, your kids will try about anything when they are really hungry! Don't you just love their spunky matching dresses, a perfect stylish piece to put on after taking a dip.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I turned two on May 26th! I am a big girl now!

I love hanging out with my sister Emi!

Okay, I know this is late. I am still trying to play catch up with blogging. So many amazing things happened recently both professionally and personally that I want to share. Emi's Native American Name Giving Ceremony and Chloe's birthday are very important to me!

Chloe turned 2 on May 26th! I can't believe my baby is now two now! And you know what? She can even tell you how old she is when you ask her. She is such a smartie! I love my baby. I remember the feeling I had when I gave birth to her. It was a fast delivery and when they placed her in my arms she just looked at me with those big brown eyes covered with antibiotic ointment (always lovely) and gave me this look that said "Mommy, I love you and everything is okay." She gave me this peaceful feeling that overcame my entire body. And she had done that ever since. Chloe is such a blessing in my life! I love her peaceful spirit! It is a good yin and yang combination like Emi and Chloe are.

I love you Chloe! And I am so lucky you choose me to be your mommy! Your sister Emi and Daddy love you so much! You bring so much laughter and peace into our lives. Thank you!

Her birthday was awesome! My family was there and Albert's parents were there as well. It was wonderful! We had a great turnout and many friends came to the event! Her birthday was celebrated with her little best buddy Boston! Boston and Chloe were born on the same day! She just beat him by a few hours. They were just so cute and I love the fact that we got to celebrate this day with The Forest family. Chloe and Boston are just lovable! Chloe learned how to say cake after that day, she calls it "icee." Isn't that cute!?!

Emi's Native American Name Giving Ceremony

The girls had such a great time when my parents and uncle came to visit us from Utah. We have made so many fun memories with them. They came in May to celebrate Chloe's 2nd birthday and for Emi's Native American Name Giving Ceremony.

I wanted to share these special pictures of Emi's naming ceremony. My father conducted and officiated it and he did an amazing job! The whole family prepped our backyard for the event. And we invited our friends who were close to Emi to attend, the Forest and Fischer families.

My dad explained the Name Giving Ceremony to all of those who attended the the special events that aided him in finding a Native American name for Emi. Here is what was shared:

Name Giving Ceremony

In the Native American tradition, the name giving ceremony is a solemn and yet joyous occasion. Certain people are allowed to give names, such as spiritual leaders, medicine people, tribal elders and others who have had the rite handed down by bloodline.

A gift or offering like a Pendleton blanklet or star quilt or horse is made to them and a request by the family or individual for a name is made. The family gives a name or affectionate name at birth, but a sacred or gifted name is sometimes made later.

The person then fasts and prays for 4 days and replies if a name will be given. The some time passess and a number of sweat lodges or inipi olowans are done and other prayer ceremonies at which time the name will come to the spiritual person. It may have come in a vision, or at dream time, or in a pipe ceremony. The name is given by the spirits to the name-giver and always has a special meaning and reflects something the recipient has done or a special deed, or an attitude or aura the person has.
This special name is the one their ancestors and the spirits know them by, and is the name they use to pray to their ancestors and to seek their guidance, wisdom and protection.

Isn't it absolutely beautiful and amazing! Emi is blessed to have such richness in her family through culture and tradition. It was a very beautiful day and the ceremony was amazing. The name given to her is River Song. This has a lot of meaning for me. Emi has been endowed with such a free spirit. This free spirit allows her to feel so much and give unconditionally. Her love for others and energy and enthusiasm about life is always flowing and moving taking shape to the beautiful environment around her. She loves to sing and express her emotions to the fullest and I think River Song fits her personality and aura perfectly! Thank you Daddy! And to my little River Song, I love you and am so proud of you! I am so thankful that Heavenly Father sent you to me. You are so beautiful inside and out and you bring so much happiness to my life and Daddy's.

Bad Hair Day Anyone!?!

Ever had a bad case of "bed hair?" Well, my girls sure did! Isn't it hilarious? Especially Chloe's, it is a mixture of Albert Einstein's and the mad professor named "Doc Brown" in Back to the Future! Good thing I kept them at home to avoid people pointing fingers!

Oh, which reminds me there was a time Albert took the girls out one morning to run errands so I could sleep in. And when they got home I had to stop myself from laughing. The girls were still in their PJs and had major bedhead! Oh, was just imaging all the mommies at the market laughing inside at the site of my two girls with their Daddy.

Anyhoo, they were so excited to try out their new pool from Walmart. I was going to get the large sized one but thought the smaller one would be easier to carry with one hand while pushing the shopping cart and making sure Emi is not run over by cars and Chloe doesn't fall out of the cart. Ever have one of those moments!?!

It was so cute to watch them play. They absolutely loved it and didn't want to get out.

Emi and Her Lil Sis

Throughout the day, Emi and Chloe do the silliest things together. These things involve a constant roller coaster ride of fighting and playing! It drives me absolutely batty at times. I do not have a sister so watching them interact is quite educational and interesting. In spite of the constant refereeing I find myself doing there are many moments when I can see and feel the true "sisterhood" between them and it just touches me deeply.

I see those moments when Emi and Chloe hold each other for a "standing up hug," when Chloe always shares food with her older sister, or when Emi tries to put on Chloe's shoes as we are getting ready to leave for errands to name a few. It is so sweet! My mother always instilled in me the importance of family unity through a strong sense of loyalty, service, and unconditional love. And it is important to me to communicate the same beliefs to them.

I make it a goal each day to let the girls know how lucky they are to have each other. In the past, when I would ask Emi who her best friends are she would say "Kalli, Faith, Kylie or Sasha" in a heartbeat. I reminded her that her friends are wonderful but that she actually had a best friend right in our home. She did not realize it was her little sister. However, just the other day, she told me her best friend is Chloe and that nearly brought me to tears!

When I was a little girl one of my most favorite memories captured in photo was me riding a pony at a carousel at Lagoon in Utah (the biggest amusement park there). My mom had my hair done in two pig tails and I felt like I was a princess. I need to find that picture and post it. It is funny!

Well, for quite sometime I thought it would be fun to capture the same image of my two daughters doing the same thing. And I had the sweet opportunity a while back when my friend Monica and her two children treated Jess, Boston, the girls and I to rides at the carousel at Fashion Island in Newport Beach.

Emi had such a fun time! She couldn't stop smiling and Chloe well she was made at me because I had to hold her during the ride so she wouldn't wiggle out.

Goodness, this picture just cracks me up! The girls and I were with Jessica and Boston and we made a visit to Coldstone (one of my favorite places to gain extra calories). After having a large dose of creamy chocolate ice cream their energy levels just tripled in strength. They ran up the grassy hill at Grand Park and plopped down near to a pine tree and this picture captures their blissful state! So, cute isn't it!?! I love my babies!!!

And another shout out to my sweet husband who has poured endless hours in making our site go live. The VIP Lounge at Club Renaissance

We are so excited for Club Renaissance to open in Aliso Viejo! Albert and I joined the club early on and are charter members. This gives us special perks and one of them is hanging out in the VIP lounge last Saturday during their hard hat tours of the facility. Albert and I "lounged" while we watched Emi and Chloe have the time of their lives with Scooter the Clown!

I met a wonderful woman there who took a ton of pictures of our beautiful girls. And she was kind of enough to share them with me. Aren't the pictures amazing!?! Thank you Kathryn! I am trying to get in shape so I can look great in my workout clothes for this new gym. :) Isn't that funny! And it is swimsuit season and I have a new suit to sport which is another motivation to lose the lovely baby weight that I got as a present from Chloe.

The selling point for us is the Kid's Gym which we saw. It is over 7,000 square feet. No joke! It has an aquatic theme running through it. Our girls will absolutely love that. And the kid's pool/play area was the other amenity we are excited to use. My goal for the family is to recreate together more and exercise. And this is the perfect place for all of this to happen.

Long time, no post!

I am back! :) And it feels good. I can't believe it has been so long since my last post. So, much has happened since then. Baby Emi is growing in leaps and bounds and I am truly grateful for that. I attribute all of my success to two important people in my life: God and my husband Albert.

There's a saying out that goes "When life gets to hard to stand, kneel and pray." I am a true believer in that. Prayer provides me with the strength and faith to move forward and without it...I would be a very lost puppy.

Albert is honestly the best husband ever! Don't get me wrong we have our fair share of differences. It is his fault he married such a spicy girl! But, he is truly my soul mate and I know we were meant for each other. His support and guidance has allowed me to make sound choices for Baby Emi and I could not do it well without him.

One of the things I have been praying for is getting more buzz and attention on Baby Emi! And my new dear friend Michelle Anton, author of Weekend Entrepreneur.com/Entrepreneur.com did just that for us. She told me "I can't be the best kept secret for too long." Isn't that sweet!?! Goodness, whenever I need my digital camera I either can't find it or it is at an undesirable place. This time the "undesirable" place was in the van in the garage. Being where I was in the house, it made getting my camera a very "undesirable" move. Because it would distrub something I was secretly viewing from my home office which is located downstairs next to the kitchen. We recently coverted the formal living room into my bead studo & office.

So, you are wondering what I was secretly observing? Well, it was my sweet husband being domestic. :) He was washing the kitchen floor by hand! My husband is wonderful! I don't know how I got so lucky!?!? He is not feeling well himself and has been very busy lately. So busy that he would be coming home from work around 7pm or later. It is late for us. Him coming home at 7 pm means he has an hour to eat dinner and spend time with the girls before going they go to bed at 8 pm. So, every minute is precious!

There he was on his knees with a washcloth in one hand and another with a bucket full of water and Pinesol. Wow!! ! I just love the man! He is so supportive. I feel bad that our kitchen and household duties get pushed by the wayside as I try to work at home and care for the girls. At times, I won't kid myself, most of the time I am very overwhelmed. And to have him help at home means so much to me.

Watching him wash the floors (an idea he had own his own) made me feel like I was on "cloud 9" and loved! The feeling was just like how I felt when we had our first kiss at The SLC Airport parkage garage (yes, I know very romantic) minus the clean Pinesol scent. I love you so much and thank you for everything you do!

The Twelve Days of Christmas - Savage Style!

Since, I am way behind in my posts and so has much happened over the holiday season, I can't move forward until I share with you some of the highlights. It seems so weird to do it now (it is almost February) but I won't get any closure until I officially blog about it.

I am not a song writer or rapper or try to be for that matter. So, my rendition of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" Savage Style won't be breaking any records hits anytime soon. It is my attempt to be creative and fresh! :)

Note: At The SNA Airport saying our goodbyes to my parents who are flying back to Utah. The girls got a bag of goodies from their grandparents. You can’t see them but they have atleast 8 Swedish Fish clutched tightly in their fists.

Nine Pearly Whites

Note: Emi has the best smile in the world especially the fake and forced ones!

On the 10th day of Christmas my true love gave to me:

My parents who live in SLC, UT came and visited for the Christmas holiday. And it was wonderful! More pics to follow. We did tons of things like eat, eat, and eat some more, shop, go to the zoo and beach, and have a party for Emi's birthday. Despite the fact that one of us was either sick with a cold, flu, stomach flu, pink eye an ear infections, we had fun! We loved celebrating the birth of our Savior and the birth of Emi (which falls on Christmas Day) which we affectionately named the business after. Ode to Emi and Chloe!

This post is a tribute to my girls! I love them so much. I wish I could tell them how much they mean to me but I really don't think it is possible. Every now and then, I just get completely overwhelmed with humility and gratitude that Heavenly Father entrusted me with them.

My daughters are my pride and joy in life! Words can't explain how much I need them. Logically one would think our children "need" us for various reasons. But, for me I probably need them, more than they need me. They bring so much goodness, happiness, and fulfillment in my life. Everyday, I try that much harder to be the best mother I possibly can. Ohh....how I mess up so many times. And you know, what they still love me.

I feel like I have been a crazed lunatic with keeping up with the holiday rush. My girls have been so good playing and entertaining themselves while I crank out bracelet after bracelet. Iam so thankful for that. If they weren't asleep right now I would give them the biggest kiss and hug ever. But, it will have to wait till the morning.

Starting a Trend...Tutu over Jammies!

Little Chloe does so many funny things! Albert and I during the day will just laugh at the silly things she does. One of them, is dressing up in whatever she can find. Whether it is dirty laundry she can get a hold of or her sister's clothing, she loves to put them on.

One morning, I came downstairs to find Chloe totally "spiffed" out in the lastest baby fashion. She managed to put her pink jacket on all by herself. And I couldn't believe she was able to slip on Emi's pink tutu over her sleeper. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen! And the funniest thing is that she was able to do it all on her own.

A Child Prodigy

My little Emi is just amazing! Sometimes, I forget that she is a little sponge and absorbs everything...especially everything I do. She keeps me on my toes. :) The other day, she was scribbling on some paper, sometimes she enjoys doing daily while I bead. However, this day was different. Instead of drawing pictures she chose to write words. And you wouldn't believe what she wrote. She sounded out the word boy all on her own and spelt the word girl "gril". Can you believe it? I say, she is a genius! I gave her assistance and helped her write it correctly. My "little hedgehog" is something fabulous!

Is it Halloween Yet?

Emi's day would be absolutely perfect if every day was Halloween! She still talks about it and wakes up every morning asking me if it is Halloween. The poor girl doesn't understand it happens only once a year.

Recently, I went to Ralph's and bought several clearance Halloween costumes for the girls to wear and their fairy outfits were one of them. They decided to prance outside and do a little dance. One day, they were wearing their outfits while I was running errands. It was quite the display especially at the boring old post office which I visit all too often. They are just so adorable together and I am thankful they remind me to be a free spirited, creative, and carefree.

So, for those who have been wondering where the Savages have been. Let me tell you..........
We have not dropped off the face of this earth! You guys aren't that lucky!?! :) The whole entire family got sick again over Thanksgiving. It made it that much more fun and exciting (it's not like we don't have enough drama already). The girls are doing so much better and hopefully by Friday we can get some fresh air and talk to humans. We feel so couped up in our house.

I am in the midst of the holiday rush as I am getting orders from BabyEmiJewelry.com left and right! It is all too exciting and leaves me an exhausted mommy at the end of the day. But, I can't complain because I love my job as mommy and jewelry designer! The rush has only started. So, I will see all of you next year.

And a public BIG FAT thank you for my bestest buddy Jessica Forest who again came to my rescue (without asking might I add) and dropped off a boatload of Thanksgiving leftovers.....so yummy. Since, we were all sick, it was hard to enjoy a meal. My girls and I thank you and my tummy especially thanks you for the pumpkin cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory!

Halloween was really fun this year! The girls and I decided to dress up as angels. The girls had their costumes but I needed to find mine. So, off I was on my search for an adult sized tutu! Did anyone make one was my question? Who said Halloween and "trick-or -treating" is only reserved for the young and short!?!

I found a great artisan who custom makes Tutus on Etys.com (love that site). Kimberly from AngelBabesTutus.com made my tutu and I love it! Thank you Kimberly. The girls were so excited that we were all dressing up together and it was a super fun night.

We decided to not overdue it and just hit a few homes in the area (my annoying cough is still lingering on...ughhh!) To Albert and my surprise the girls got a tons of candy! Just perfect right!?! We put Chloe in our wagon and Albert pulled her around the neighborhood with us. Emi loved going up to each door and stay the magic word "trick-or-treat!" She did very good this year, no going into people's home, grabbing handfuls of candy, pushing other kids out of the way, and crying at the doorstep!" Good job Emi! :)

The girls looked so cute parading around the neighborhood and in our home sporting their pink tutus! It is all about being a "girl" in our home. Poor Albert is out-numbered. But, actually he is really lucky to be surrounded by his earth angels (wink, wink). Do I hear him complaining!?!

Emi's Preschool Halloween Parade

South Shores Christian Preschool does the most fun things for their students and one of them in holding an annual Halloween parade. Emi was so excited and she chose to wear her Rainbow Brite costume. It was fun to get her ready for the day. I know Emi's favorite part was getting her face painted.

It was a riot to see her at preschool. Each child was invited to hold a musical instrument and of course Emi chose the tamborine (we have one at home). Off the kids went marching around campus with their Halloween costumes on and playing their instruments! Her classmates looked so adorable as well!

All of the parents stood in awe while laughing at all of the "cuteness!" It was hilarious as other parents were commenting on how awesome Emi's costume was! Rainbow Brite was a cartoon that was aired when we "thirty-somethings" were kids. Emi looked adorable rockin' a retro costume!

Meet Jackie the Jack-o-lantern

Recently for Family Home Evening we carved our 1st pumpkin as a family. I created the face for our pumpkin and Albert did the hard part of carving the face. Emi had such a great time watching how a pumpkin gets carved and made into a jack-o-lantern. She named her jack-o-lantern Jackie! I called the insides of the pumpkin "guts" and Emi and I removed it together. Albert finished cleaning it up and we reserved the seeds for baking.

I made my first batch of baked pumpkin seeds and the family loved it! It reminded me of when my grandma would bake the pumpkins seeds when I was a little girl. It was special for me to continue a family tradition. Emi and Chloe love their little jack-o-lantern and it is still in our living room to greet them in the morning.

Ever Heard of Halloween Presents!?!

My parents are just too cute! They sent the girls a present for Halloween. You would think it would be a boatload of candy but it wasn't. It was adorable school backpacks for the girls. Emi, of course choose the backpack with Disney princesses on them. And by default Chloe received the Dora one. It was so cute! Perfect, for stuffing even more candy in them for Halloween. To my girl's delightful surprise there were some goodies in there, just enough to satisfy our pre-Halloween sugar cravings. The girls thank you for their presents!

Baby Emi Jewelry appeared on THE VIEW on October 23, 2007 for a televised baby shower for co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck. It was her last day before maternity leave so the show sent her off with a special day filled with lots of goodies and an audience full of pregnant mommies!

Our ultra fabulous Cambodian Jingle Bells Anklet was included in the Celebrity "BUMP" gift bag created by our friends at Jewels and Pinstripes. Elisabeth received this gift bag herself and love it so much, she wanted to surprise her whole audience with one. Each Celebrity "BUMP" gift bag is worth over $1700.

We were so excited to be a part of this! We love THE VIEW and want to wish Elisabeth Hasselbeck a smooth and easy delivery with their second baby on the way. Congrats!

Emi's Performance at South Shores Christian Preschool

Emi's singing performance at her preschool went wonderfully! So, good that when we came home from all of the activities she fell fast asleep. I was so worried about being late that we nearly arrived 40 minutes early or atleast it seemed like it. The girls enjoyed running around the campus and enjoying their time being silly. We had some time to mingle with other parents and it was so fun.

The whole preschool sang "Jesus loves Me" and "If your Happy and You Know It." It was so adorable. We sat in the very front row which was great because we saw everything. When the preschool director brought in the group Emi stood in the very front and we watched her sing so beautifully. She even did a few courtsey bows at the end which was quite humourous.

After they finished singing the kids went back to their classrooms for some fun activities while the parents enjoyed the rest of the church service. It was really cool! They offered a couple of craft projects for the kids and Emi of course decided to bead! I taught her right. :) The teachers were not surprised that she could do it. She had the finger dextrity and concentration to string herself a new bracelet. And the teachers thought it was amazing that she was the only child who knew how to create a clap at the end of the pipe cleaner to keep the bracelet secure. You go girl!

" Mirror, mirror on the wall whose the fairest of them all?"

The Fischers are so awesome! They always invite us to fun community events and this was one of them. We all went to the Boo Blast Carnival that Moulton Elementary. The elementary organizes this community event every year. We had such a great time! It was our first time and we will be coming again. Emi, Kalli and Chloe just loved it. It was great to watch them get their face painted and win at adorable games that were conducted in booths. We were quite impressed and it was a fun prelude event to the big holiday on Oct. 31st!

Caught Red Handed!

Okay, I was freaking out when I came downstairs and found Chloe on the kitchen table near the very edge of her death! I guess I wasn't that freaked out because I managed to find the camera and capture a few pics! For so long Chloe would watch me and Emi bead at the kitchen table and when she found an opportune moment to try it herself, she took it without thinking twice!

Chloe is quite amazing because she is honestly fearless! She is very different from Emi. Emi calculates her risks and when she feels it is worth taking she goes for it. Chloe on the other hands....just goes for it. There has been many times I felt like my heart was going to jump out of my chest when I would catch her (literally) from an accident waiting to happen. She is our little dare-devil!

Generic vs. Name Brand

When Albert and I were first married our grocery shopping excursions were always entertaining. One of the reasons why is because we would have this debate over "Generic vs. Name Brand" store goods. He would most often pick up generic lables and I always bought recognized food labels that I trust for quality and consistency. It has been nearly 5 years of marriage and I still will chose name brands over store labeled goods.

However, recently I turned over a new leaf and brought store brand cereal! I loved it and the girls loved it! I may be a food snob, but I do like trying new things and plus it helps us save a penny or two. However, there are certain items that aren't up to snuff when compared to brand names things....like OREOS for example! :)

That morning I was going to put it to the taste taste and I offered my girls the choice of eating their cereal or Mommy's cereal and they chose mine! And you know what....they loved the generic raisin bran. I think it is so cool that the girls love whatever I eat. Wow....I hold a lot of power in my hands or should I say my mouth.

The Kitchen A.K.A. HUB Center of Our Home

The kitchen is where all of the actions happens! You can always find us there. If I placed a cot in the kitchen it could also became a second bedroom for the girls. But, I won't go there. Every room in our house has nearly been taken over by our Savage girls! I am sure you guys understand. The toys seem to multiply and once Albert and I clean up a mess, the same mess instantly appears right before our eyes!

One of the girls favorite things to do is DRAW! So, we have a little cute easel (a great Craigslist find) that the girls can get "all creative" on. They can use chalk or dry erase markers on it. And they just love it! It gives them a chance to share which is a work in progress. Many great things happen in the kitchen besides my great cooking (ha, ha, ha...).

My Best Friend!

Who says your best friends have to be Lindt chocolates, the Loehman's shoe department, or the BBQ Chicken Ranch Salad at Pat & Oscars (although they all come to a close second)!?! Mine is actually a living and breathing entity. My best friend's name is Albert Cristen Savage and our friendship started March 2, 2002. It is unbelievable how we first met and there is no doubt in mind that the Lord brought us together. I could go on and on about every little detail that I remember so well. But, don't worry.........I won't.

The funny thing is my husband has a different version and it is funny to compare the two. Mine is the right one by the way! :) However, what remains the same and always will is our commitment to each other, our girls and love of God. Everything in life is possible and conquerable when you have your best friend by your side. Thank you Albert for being my best friend and always taking care of me, especially when you make a run to Ralph's at 10:35 pm a nights when I crave Rocky Road!

The Flower Girl

There are certain times when a camera can capture "the moment." This "Kodak moment" was with Emi. Capturing moments with her can be quite tricky and not an activity for amateurs. It's hard because she is a moving target. Trying to get her to pose or stand still is like asking me to not eat chocolate....it doesn't happen!

However, this time we captured the moment! She looks so lovely in her flower girl dress that she wore for my brother's wedding. Her face and her gentle expression reminds me that behind that sometimes sassy, mischievous, and defiant preschool facade remains a little angel so full of love, happiness, and goodness! All good things come in small packages. And that statement can't be more true with my little Emi!

Kalli and Emi - Best Friends Forever!

The girls are doing great! Emi had a super fun time at her best friend's birthday party. Her name is Kalli and she turned the big 3! The picture above shows them together during the first time we and the Fischer "officially" hung out. We to Pat and Oscars and LOVED it! Emi and Kalli enjoyed hiding behind the bushes, picking leaves and pointing at the birds. They are so cute together!

Chloe is starting to become the biggest drama queen! It is going to be real fun when the girls are teenagers in our home. In spite of her many meltdowns, she give the biggest hugs and wettest kisses. I love them! This is a pic of her asleep in the van. Notice how she has her sippy cup next to her. She loves to eat and drink!

She's asleep.....Wow, there is silence in the car!

Emi loves to fall asleep in the car too! It must be because she is strapped and has no where to run, jump, and hide. During our car drives she tells me the funniest stories and provides me with many "facts of life."

Chloe loves to stand on her high chair, thus the low setting.

Chloe has now mastered the art of snapping her high chair safety straps and loves to climb up it. I get super nervous, so I put the high chair at its lowest setting. She loves getting a bird's eye view of all of the action.

Fruit in the morning!

I am truly lucky that my girls eat whatever I put on their plates. They love fruit a lot! The tangy taste of oranges are their new taste of the month. Too bad, it isn't in season. Chloe felt real grown up to be sitting up with her sister. And Emi loved having her little friend next to her at the kitchen table.

Emi's New Masterpiece

My mischievous little MONKEY!

Earlier this week, I heard Emi loudly sing the "ABCs" from our bedroom. The reason why I remember it so well because it had such a happy tone to it and I slowly pried myself out of my warm bed to see what she was so happy about.

I soon realized that what she was happy about wasn't going to make me so happy. She found the black Sharpie that we used or Family Home Evening the other night and drew a picture on the kitchen floor! I couldn't believe it!?! It was a great picture though. She took so much attention to draw the butterfly, numerous windows and flowers. It was so darling.

She quickly ran upstairs while I was trying to figure out how I was going to clean up this mess. I didn't want her to see me "glorifying" her artwork, so while she was upstairs crying (I sent her up there) I took pictures of her masterpiece.

Albert came downstairs and tried not to laugh about the incident and together he and Emi cleaned up the mess with Simple Green cleaning solution. It came out. Our little Emi is such an artiste! :)

Chloe and her peeps!

Chloe is such a joy to have around! I am so thankful Heavenly Father blessed me with her in my life. She is such a happy baby and I love it when she finds me in the kitchen and hugs my legs. Her head just barely hits my kneecaps and I can feel her little bear hug that she gives me. I am so lucky to be her mommy.

One of the cutest things that she does is carrying her dolls around the house. She says the word "baby" all of the time and in hand she has her favorite doll for the day. Chloe pretends to feed them, dress them and puts them down for naptime. It is so delightful to watch her play and I wonder what fun thoughts she is having in that tiny brain of hers.

Yesterday, for breakfast she was insistant that her babies eat breakfast with her and she had her "I love animals" badge on that I made for the kids in Nursery. She is hilarious!

The Weather Calls for Layering!

The girls showcasing their favorite Fall Jackets!

Fall is fun for so many reasons! It marks the beginning of great holidays to come Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Emi's birthday which is on Christmas Day. Fall has always been one of my favorite seasons because when growing up in Utah it was a time when the colors of trees around the area and mountains were just breathtaking!

Utah is either super hot or super cold to me and finally Fall was a season where you could go out and feel comforable with a jacket. Also, Fall means Fall Fashions! I love Fall because it is all about layering! Combining the different elements of colors, fabrics and accessories from earrings down to boots is so fun!

Chloe can smile on demand, Emi not so much but she is getting there. :)

My girls are now layering too! Now, that the weather is cooling a bit. I must have them wear a jacket when they play outside in our backyard. I also put on their socks too. I know that I am a super anxious mom but my mind and heart is at rest when I know they are warm and toasty. The wind that blows in our backyard is so great and it makes the leaves on our trees and rose bushes dance. The girls love playing outside and I have included pics of my girls sporting their Fall jackets for the first time.
